Constraints
A deals platform running on volume and speed, where an offer has to read instantly, across a following of roughly 130,000 people.

Problem

One brand, every surface, one owner. DealNews lives on volume and speed. Content moves constantly across social, email, paid, and product surfaces, and the audience only cares if the deal is clear and fast.

The problem was coverage: be the social manager, the lead designer, and the paid support across a following of roughly 130,000 people without the work getting thin.

System

One in-house owner connecting every marketing surface. Social content, paid campaigns, email, landing pages, app updates, infographics, and logos all ran through a single owner inside a much larger company. That kept the brand consistent across every surface and put creative decisions and performance feedback in the same hands.

Design served distribution: every asset was built for where it had to perform, feed, inbox, paid placement, or landing page.

01

One in-house owner

Brand coherent across surfaces.

02

Design per placement

Built for where it runs.

03

Social + paid distribution

Creative tied to spend.

04

Performance loop

Numbers steer the next asset.

[ 03 ]

Decisions

Four choices held it together solo.

01

One owner, every surface

Holding social, design, and paid in one role kept the brand coherent and the loop short.

02

Design for the placement

Each asset built for its surface, not designed once and forced to fit.

03

Make the deal legible

For a deals audience, clarity beats polish. Lead with the offer.

04

Let performance steer

Email, paid, and landing-page numbers fed back into what got made.

Reflection

DealNews is the proof that creative and performance can live in one person. Running social, design, and paid together kept the work consistent and accountable at once, the same connected-system instinct, at the scale of a single in-house owner.
